At 232 m above sea level, Traiguera is located in the north of the province of Castellón, in the heart of the district of the ‘Baix Maestrat’. From Alcocebre you take the Vinarós to Morella road, after about 20 km. you will find this village with it’s 1,604 inhabitants.

In the ‘calle Mayor’ is the gothic style 15th century Town Hall (Ayuntamiento), also two buildings of Renaissance style dating from the 17th century. In the ‘plaza de la Iglesia’ there is a local museum. Also of interest locally is the Hermitage of San Blas and San Vicente's spring.
