Zorita del Maestrazgo is located in the most northern and mountainous part of Els Ports, some 60km. to the north-west of Alcocebre. Here you will find many traditional houses with big eaves and wooden balconies that hang out over the steep staggered streets.

At the entrance of the town, sighted within a mountain cave is the Sanctuary of the Mare of Deu of the Balma. Since the 14th century, people of the district went to pray to the Virgin in this cave and the tradition continuous until the present time.
