This village is the real centre of the “Alto Maestrazgo” region. Reminiscent of a fortified hill, it’s on a sharp, rocky crag, like a ships keel, that gives it a peculiarly spectacular silhouette. The village is at an altitude of 1,200 m above sea level.

With an area of 125 km2 and a population of 726 inhabitants. The district is some 65km to the west of Alcocebre.
